Based on the architecture of Sophie Hayden (19th century).
Sophia Hayden received her architectural degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1890. In 1891 she won the competition to design and build the Woman’s Building for The Worlds Columbian Exposition to be held in Chicago in 1893. The building cost $138,000.00 to construct.
